Magic x Bureaucracy RPG Astrae Oratio to begin accepting closed beta testers on August 19

The game is scheduled to launch in 2026.

Dynamis One and NC (formerly NCSoft) announced on July 31 that they will begin accepting applications for Astrae Oratio‘s upcoming Closed Beta Test. Participants will be able to apply between August 19, 03:00 and September 21, 3:00 (UTC). The date of the CBT itself will be announced at a later date.

Astrae Oratio is set in a world where magic exists. The story takes place in a fictional Tokyo in 1889, following a protagonist who is suddenly assigned to a mysterious administrative body known as the Special District Office. From what we’ve seen so far, gameplay unfolds through 3D turn-based battles, while the story is told through visual novel-style game sections with dialogue choices.

The project was first announced last April under the codename Project AT. Since then, the developers have steadily been lifting the veil on Astrae Oratio’s worldbuilding and characters. Now, it looks like development has progressed enough for the game’s first round of testing, giving players an early hands-on opportunity.

Astrae Oratio is scheduled to launch in 2026.
