Publisher Shiravune and developer LiLith have announced that the global version of Taimanin Asagi 2 will officially launch on November 11 on PC via Steam. Part of the adult visual novel Taimanin franchise, the sequel was originally released in October 2006.
Taimanin Asagi 2 follows female ninja Asagi Igawa and her younger sister, Sakura, as they travel to Tokyo Kingdom, a city on a manmade island off the coast of Tokyo. There, theyface off against demons and criminals, all in the hopes of locating their missing Taimanin comrades. The series has since become a successful all-ages IP, branching out into other game genres with releases such as Action Taimanin (2019), Taimanin GOGO (2022) and most recently, Taimanin Squad in March this year.
The first installment in the series, Taimanin Asagi, is also available on Steam and currently holds a “Very Positive” rating, though some reviews note that the game has been heavily censored compared to its original Japanese release. The first Taimanin Asagi, originally slated for a 2019 release, ultimately launched in October 2023 due to the game’s explicit content causing Steam to reject the originally listed version.
Shiravune’s announcement of Taimanin Asagi 2 has not addressed how the title will handle its NSFW content, given the precedent set by the handling of the first game.
Taimanin Asagi 2 is scheduled to release on November 11, 2026, for PC (Steam). The game will launch with English and Chinese (Simplified/Traditional) language support. It will also feature Japanese audio, but no text option.
