Nitroplus has announced that its 3D mech girl action game Dolls Nest will be getting two pieces of content this October. The first is a set of three paid DLC skins for the heroine, while the second is a free update that includes a new “Combat Trials” mode.
Starting with the paid DLCs, Dolls Nest’s second cosmetic series, titled “Extra Form Data Set Vol. 2,” includes the “Mace Manor Guard Humanoid” Set, “Porokka General-Purpose Aviation Humanoid” Set, and “Herros Solo Operation Humanoid.” Each skin will be available separately and as a bundle in October. Like the skins from the Extra Form Data Set Vol.1, these don’t change any of your character’s stats.
Moving on to Combat Trials, this new mode allows you to test your mettle against training units. Defeating units raises your score, which earns you items based on your highest combat rank. The training units you encounter have dialogue of their own, which lets you delve deeper into the game’s lore.
The Combat Trials update is set to release in October, while a hands-on demo is currently playable at the Tokyo Game Show 2026.
Dolls Nest is available for Windows (Steam).
