New Gundam anime series to be announced at Diego Comic-Con alongside official livestream

Bandai Namco Filmworks and Sunrise are getting ready to announce a brand-new anime in the Gundam series.

The official Mobile Suit Gundam website has announced that a new anime series will be unveiled during a panel event at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), which will take place on July 23 from 10:30 to 11:30 A.M. local time at Room 6BCF at the San Diego Convention Center. Those who aren’t able to attend the event can tune in to a livestream on the official Gundam YouTube channel, which will showcase all the announced details starting at 7 P.M. UTC on July 23.

The live panel will feature special guests from Japan. In addition to the new anime series, they will be talking about the franchise’s current state and its future, including upcoming developments on projects in Japan and overseas.

Aside from the panel, SDCC will play host to a Gundam booth. Players can check out Bandai Namco’s Gundam Rogue Orbit action-adventure title, upcoming and event-exclusive merchandise, as well as several photo spots and a standing Gundam statue. Exhibits themed on the new series will be set up in the booth once it has been officially announced.
