Colorful Palette has announced that Volcano Princess will release for PS5, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android on July 30. Dubbed a “Complete Edition,” this release comes with a good deal of additions and improvements to the game. Players of the original PC version can expect a free update around October 2026 that will introduce the new content from the Complete Edition.

Originally released in 2023 by developer Egg Hatcher, Volcano Princess is a fantasy parenting sim RPG that puts you in the role of a widowed father raising the future monarch of a kingdom where tensions between humans and demons are escalating. Depending on how you choose to raise the princess, the game offers over 50 endings. Since its Steam launch, Volcano Princess has earned an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on the platform with over 44.k player reviews.

The upcoming Complete Edition will brush up the game’s quality further, with improvements to the English localization, the addition of full Japanese voice acting, and added support for Traditional Chinese. The game will also receive new story content, additional illustrations, and new dungeons to explore.
Additionally, starting today, a free demo titled Volcano Princess Prologue is available across PS5, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android, allowing players to try out the game up to the “Little Bird Day” part of the story. Coinciding with the demo’s launch, Colorful Palette has released a new animated opening for the game.
The Complete Edition of Volcano Princess is set to release on July 30 for PS5, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android. The existing PC (Steam) version is scheduled to be updated around October 2026.
