Shift Up’s Destiny Child to return as idle RPG Destiny Child: Assemble
Destiny Child: Assemble, developed by Com2uS and TIKITAKA STUDIO, is set to release in the first half of 2027.

Com2uS Japan has announced Destiny Child: Assemble, a new idle RPG based on Shift Up’s discontinued live-service RPG Destiny Child. Developed by TIKITAKA STUDIO (a subsidiary of Com2uS), the game is set to release in the first half of 2027 for iOS and Android.
The original Destiny Child was released on October 27, 2016, in South Korea before being made available in Japan on November 24, 2017, and the rest of the world on December 6, 2018. However, services for the game were shut down on September 21, 2023. As reported by Inven Global, Com2uS signed an agreement for development and publishing rights for the IP in November 2024, hinting that the franchise would be making a return.
The teaser trailer for Destiny Child: Assemble was released roughly ten years after the original Destiny Child’s launch. It starts with the statement that “everything is inevitable,” before unveiling a relic known as the Ressurection Flower. The teaser ends with the sentence “Do you remember our pact?,” alluding to the original’s central theme of demons forming pacts with humans to create Childs, humanoid familiars that serve as the game’s collectible characters.
Destiny Child: Assemble will retain the original game’s storyline and world while introducing new plotlines . These potentially include character stories that unlock once you obtain that specific Child. While the original featured real-time combat with skills and quick time events, this new game will apparently focus on an “idle” format.
Destiny Child: Assemble is set to release in the first half of 2027 for iOS and Android. More updates and information will be posted on the game’s official webpage and X account.
