Neverness to Everness global revenue surpasses domestic sales. Popularity in Japan particularly strong

Neverness to Everness (NTE) publisher Perfect World reports high day one-sales after the release of the recent Version 1.1 update.

Neverness to Everness (NTE) publisher Perfect World’s recent investor relations event on June 4 revealed that the game is performing well financially in overseas markets, particularly in Japan, South Korea, North America, and Europe. For Japan in particular, the recent Version 1.1 update (which was released on June 3) saw NTE rise to the top of the iOS game sales charts and reach second place in the overall sales rankings. The game has also consistently maintained a high ranking on the PlayStation charts since the start of its public test back in February.

Version 1.1, Dreamwalk Corridor, saw the addition of the S-rank recruitable character Lacrimosa, the new Sunward Island playable area, new cosmetics and a Porsche collaboration vehicle, as well as various quality of life changes. On the day of its release, NTE set new single-day sales records in China and overseas, amounting to over 100 million Chinese Yuan (roughly $14.8 million USD) – the highest ever since the launch of the public beta. Upon review, overseas sales have surpassed domestic sales.

Perfect World reported that the majority of NTE’s player base comes from PC and console, with PC players in China accounting for 60% of the country’s player count and PC and PlayStation users accounting for 70% of global players. The publisher also addressed why global sales for NTE are higher than domestic sales, saying that its strategy of tailoring marketing approaches to different regions resulted in it performing better overseas.

Moving forward, Perfect World plans on improving NTE’s mobile version by optimizing performance and introducing more people to its cloud version, which allows Android and iOS users to enjoy the game with better graphics and frame rates. The company also says it will continue to expand NTE’s presence in the global market through tailored marketing strategies and more in-game content.

Neverness to Everness is available on Android, iOS, PlayStation 5, as well as Windows and macOS (downloadable from the official website).
