Koei Tecmo just announced Time of Serenity and a Journey to Tomorrow (unofficial translation), the sequel to their highly popular Atelier Ryza binaural ASMR compilation “A Soothing Rest and Promise for Tomorrow.” While the first series entry puts the listener in the perspective of Klaudia, letting them spend “a peaceful and tender night” with Ryza, this time, it seems like the roles will be switched.
Scheduled to release in mid-august, the new ASMR compilation will be centered on the character of Klaudia Valentz, portrayed by voice actress Hitomi Owada. Much like the first installment in the ASMR series, the audio will depict “peaceful moments that Ryza and Klaudia spend together.” As the official artwork features the Atelier Ryza 3 logo, we can expect that the story of the ASMR compilation is based in the same universe as the first one, taking place after the events of Ryza 3 and featuring a slightly older Ryza and Klaudia.
While the announcement of “Time of Serenity and a Journey to Tomorrow” was sudden, it was definitely not unexpected. It was only a matter of time until Koei Tecmo would come with a sequel, considering that “A Soothing Rest and Promise for Tomorrow” was a smash hit that topped DLsite’s charts when it released back in November last year. In only five days, the game amassed a rough estimate of $110k in revenue, and records almost 23k units sold at the time of writing.
Aside from the key art and the brief description courtesy of Atelier’s official X account, the tracklist and other details regarding “Time of Serenity and a Journey to Tomorrow” are still under wraps for the time being.
