Armored Core 6: Even the battle tactics of small-fry MTs are designed to reflect each faction’s doctrines 

Recently, players of ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON have been noticing the subtle things that differentiate the various in-game factions in terms of their approaches to battle. These specific tendencies in behavior reflect the factions’ characteristics and can even be spotted in less major enemy characters. 

In Armored Core 6, various factions with different objectives and agendas make their appearance, becoming entangled in the conflict involving Coral. The two large extraterrestrial factions, Arquebus Corporation and Balam Industries, aim to secure Coral for themselves and are engaged in a fierce struggle along with their numerous subsidiaries.  

On the other hand, there are local Rubicon factions, such as the major Rubicon Liberation Front (RLF), which aims to protect Rubicon, and BAWS. These local factions boast comparatively smaller-scale forces. Another group of relatively small but distinct organizations are Dosers, like the RaD. 

Then, there is the The Planetary Closure Administration (PCA), a military force of the space government that has the objective of protecting Coral and controls Rubicon’s military power with its immense authority. The various factions can be largely divided into the extraterrestrial forces, the local Rubicon forces, and the government forces. The three sides are involved in mutual conflict, in which each side employs their own unique strategies and weapons, including MTs (Muscle Tracers). 
 

 
Recently, the way these different policies reflect on the behavior and movements of actual enemy characters has been gaining attention from players. The below Redditor points out how BAWS MTs have the tendency to hide behind obstacles during battle. As mentioned previously, as a local Rubicon faction, BAWS is relatively unassuming in terms of scale and resources. As such, their few and valuable MTs are expected to exercise caution in battle, and the defensive tactic of using obstacles is one of the ways this manifests. 

On the other hand, the PCA, the space government’s force that boasts ample strength, is noticeably more aggressive in its tactics, taking advantage of its superior might and numbers. The PCA’s high-performance units are a real headache in boss battles, but even mini-bosses and other common MTs tend to come at you quite mercilessly. 

The MTs of the various factions are generally considered “small-fry” enemies, and although there are some more powerful MTs that occasionally give you the run around, the majority of them are merely obstacles on the way you can defeat without too much thought. But despite this, they are still designed to reflect their respective forces in their behavior and tactics. This attention to detail has been earning the praise of players. 

In addition, the enemy ACs also display a variety of tactics depending on their builds, such as tanky tank ACs pressing in on you or high-mobility lightweight ACs deliberately pulling away to use long-distance, high-mobility maneuvers.
