The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak 2 is part of the long-running Trails series. It is a direct sequel to turn-based action RPG Trials through Daybreak, which came out in 2021, and saw an English release in 2024. In Trails through Daybreak 2, players will return to the Calvard Republic. Playing as bounty hunting detective Van Arkride, they must get to the bottom of a shocking series of murders. The English release of the game will give players the option of either English voice acting or Japanese voice acting with English subtitles.

Trails series fans can hopefully expect even more announcements this year, as 2024 marks the series’ 20th anniversary. Nihon Falcom’s CEO previously hinted that the company is currently working on making earlier titles in the series more accessible
