Even with time-ranked quests in full swing, Monster Hunter Wilds still has time for the less sweaty limited-time quests. The new “When Do Quematrice Sing?” quest has players taking a break and hunting a regular Quematrice for the unique Amstrigian α headgear:
Like the “Stalking Supper” quest, “When Do Quematrice Sing?” requires you to be at least Hunter Rank (HR) 9 to participate. You’ll be returning to the Windward Plains to hunt the fire-feathered monster, which is weak to Water elemental attacks and highly susceptible to Poison and Paralysis (it is also prone to Sleep, Blastblight, Stun, and Exhaust to a lesser extent.) Be on the lookout for its hot tail sweeps and remember to roll three times or jump into a pool of water when you catch fire.

Completing the quest grants you the standard Quematrice rewards and the unique Amstrigian Ticket. Bring this ticket to Gemma the blacksmith along with the required materials to craft yet another cute headgear piece based on the local fauna – the Amstrigian α head armor.

Found in The Forbidden Lands, the Amstrigian are endemic to the Scarlet Forest but migrate to the Windward Plains during the season of Plenty to raise their young. The Amstrigian that sits atop your Hunter’s head with the Amstrigian α head armor equipped isn’t a youngling or a baby Pukei-Pukei (as the X post would lead you to believe), but rather a small adult Amstrigian looking for a friend. Even if you choose not to use the Amstrigian α head armor, crafting the headgear will allow you to transmog your favorite headpiece into this attention-grabbing hat.
