Japanese indie developer Jinbey Aoyama launched the Steam store page for the 3D action-adventure title Marie Android on June 20. Set to release sometime this summer, the game has been in development for at least five years.
Marie Android follows the titular character, a small robot whose default appearance is that of a young girl. Thanks to her mysterious powers, Marie can become extremely muscular, flatten herself, and even turn into a tank. With her ability to transform and the help of her friends, Marie embarks on an adventure to save Akacha Town.

Gameplay involves engaging with puzzles and combat as you explore the town and neighboring dungeons. Some challenges will have you flattening yourself to get to previously unreachable areas, while others (such as locked gates and strong enemies) require you to bulk up and smash your way through. Each section of the map features its own mechanics, which you must master to progress.
The game’s developer Jinbey Aoyama has actually been active as a VTuber since 2018. While their VTuber’s name is also Marie Android, they only started posting about the game on social media around July 2021. After a lengthy period of silence following a December 2024 post, they returned on June 7, 2026 with a release period announcement. While Aoyama is working on practically all aspects of the game solo, virtual singer Pochi Korone (whom the Marie Android VTuber has collaborated with in the past) has provided her voice talents to the project.
Marie Android is set to release sometime this summer for Windows (Steam).
