With Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok’s July 9 release just around the corner, Cygames has decided to let everyone get a taste of what’s to come in the new expansion. The free demo includes an early portion of the main story, four playable quests, with Seofon appearing as a playable character.
Story Mode is one of the big additions, and gives players an early look at what happened after the events of the main campaign. Completing it lets you redeem rewards in the full game, regardless of whether you purchase the Endless Ragnarok DLC (note that demo rewards can only be claimed once the expansion releases on July 9). Unfortunately, progress made in the demo’s story cannot be carried over to the full game.
Quest Mode returns from the beta, alongside full crossplay matchmaking and four playable quests. Completing all three of the starting quests unlocks the final quest, Sephira’s Sanguine Glimmer, which allows access to the new Summon mechanic. Finishing each quest also unlocks rewards in the full game, just like completing the aforementioned Story Mode. Players also get access to Seofon and Beatrice, the latter of which was playable in the Closed Beta Test (CBT) back in March.

Using what they learned from the CBT, the developers have made a few changes. Co-op matchmaking issues have received a few fixes, and the Aquila Ruby Golem (the final boss in the Sephira’s Sanguine Glimmer quest) has had its health and attack power reduced.
Last but not least is Tutorial Mode, which returns from the CBT. Returning players who want to brush up on their skills and newcomers who want to get their bearings are incentivized to start here, as it lets you learn the basics of exploration and combat.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink is available for PlayStation 4 and 5, and Windows (Steam). The Endless Ragnarok expansion is set to release on July 9 for the aforementioned platforms, alongside a Nintendo Switch 2 version on the same day.
