RPG Maker XP is available for free on Steam for a limited time
The RPG Maker official website has announced a free download campaign for RPG Maker XP as part of the “RPG Maker Festival 2024.” The program is available on Steam, and the campaign will last from February 13 to February 20, 3:00 AM (JST). Other RPG Maker titles and related DLC are available at discounts during this period.
RPG Maker XP is an original RPG creation tool for Windows developed by Gotcha Gotcha Games. The game engine came out in 2004, building upon the interface of its predecessor RPG Maker 2000. RPG Maker XP boasts a user-friendly interface, aiming to appeal even to users with no prior game development/coding experience.
As of February 13, 3:00 AM (JST), RPG Maker XP can be downloaded for free on Steam as part of a limited time campaign. In addition, the more recent RPG Maker MZ and RPG maker MV can be purchased at 50% and 85% discounts respectively. Information on other discounted titles and DLC can be found on the official website.
