Kadokawa has announced Elden Ring The Road to the Erdtree, a manga based on the world of Elden Ring that is currently running on the free manga service COMIC Hu. The manga is being made by Nikiichi Tobita, and perhaps to all of our surprise, reinterprets Elden Ring as a comedy manga.
Japanese railway company to release official train sim JR EAST Train Simulator on Steam
East Japan Railway Company (JR East) has opened the Steam store page for JR EAST Train Simulator. The game is expected to be released in early access on September 20 (JST). Players will be able to experience what it is like to drive trains on the real-life JR East lines.
A pixiv clone site has been created, and users were using “magic words” to try to take it down
vpixiv is a malicious clone site that has caused quite a stir within Japan. The site was created via unauthorized copying of the data from artist community site pixiv. In response to vpixiv, pixiv users were adding “magic words” to their profiles as a method to have their account pages deleted from the clone site.

Regista has announced vertical scrolling shoot ‘em up Star Gagnant for the Nintendo Switch. The game is being developed under the supervision of Japanese gaming legend Takahashi Meijin, and a crowdfunding campaign for the project will begin on September 5.
