After more than two months of server downtime and radio silence on its official channels, Snowbreak: Containment Zone will officially be playable once more starting May 8 at 6 AM UTC. As compensation, players old and new will be rewarded with a hefty number of in-game rewards.
In addition to the rewards mentioned above, the devs recently announced that they would be adding an extra 50 Special time-limited Manifestation Echo Covenants and 50 Weapon Modding Agreements that can be used exclusively on the current Winds of Warmth event character and weapon banners.
Temporary scheduled server maintenance for Snowbreak: Containment Zone’s longest downtime yet began at 3:59 PM UTC on March 2. While the developers mentioned that the maintenance could last longer due to a “large amount of data involved,” they did promise a generous compensation of in-game rewards coupled with a separate announcement of when the servers would be back online.

Amazing Seasun Games has not released an official statement regarding the reason behind the game’s abnormally long downtime, but some think that it is related to the cancellation of a collaboration event with China Post, which was announced near the aforementioned server maintenance. The planned collab with a public institution caused some netizens to take issue with the game’s suggestive content. Following public pressure, the event was cancelled.
While there is no official confirmation as to the relation between Snowbreak: Containment Zone’s server downtime and its cancelled China Post collab, it seems that players are just happy to know they are able to play their beloved waifu gacha game again.
