Lollipop Chainsaw IP is getting “several new projects” by Dragami Games and new partner

Dragami Games has partnered with a Taiwan-based investment company to launch multiple new projects related to the IP.

Following the release of the 4K remaster Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP last year, Grasshopper Manufacture’s zombie hack-and-slash action series is getting new developments. Publisher Dragami Games announced on July 17 that it has partnered with Taiwan-based company Nada Holdings to launch multiple new projects related to the IP.

Nada Holdings is an investment company specializing in anime, manga and game IP development. They have experience in transmedia projects, and have previously been involved in titles like The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki – Northern War anime and publishing of the Traditional Chinese version of Final Fantasy 14. According to the press release, Nada Holdings’ chairperson is privately a big fan of Lollipop Chainsaw, and feels strongly about preserving the original work’s spirit and style in future projects.

According to Dragami Games, Lollipop Chainsaw and its remaster Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP have sold over 1.5 million copies to date, with the latter far exceeding original sales forecasts. The publisher wishes to further expand and diversify the IP through collaboration projects with different industries. To this end, the company is launching multiple joint projects with Nada that they hope will “create new value while upholding the spirit and appeal of the original.” While specific details of the projects have not yet been revealed, the two parties have already entered the planning stage and are assembling teams.

Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is available for PC (Steam), PS4/PS5, Xbox One/Xbox Series X❘S, and Nintendo Switch
