Bushiroad launched the Palworld Official Card Game and its first booster pack “Dawn of Palpagos” on July 30. Based on Pocketpair’s hit monster-taming survival game, the TCG sold over 3.5 million packs worldwide just via pre-orders, and has been selling out at retailers as well amidst higher-than-expected demand.
In a statement from August 12, Bushiroad’s Japanese account acknowledged that there has been a “continued shortage of stock,” apologizing to fans who aren’t able to buy the game. The company is currently discussing measures internally in order to get the Palworld TCG into the hands of as many people as possible.
Regarding the Japanese version of Dawn of Palpagos, which was likewise sold out, Bushiroad announced a new shipment set to arrive on the evening of August 14 at pop-up stores. It has also announced that boxes will be sold with the shrink wrap removed, most likely as a countermeasure against scalpers.
