Korean publisher NC (formerly known as NCSoft) announced on April 30 that they would release Astrae Oratio, a new title developed by studio Dynamis One. The game’s recently launched official website features a timer counting down to May 7, which is likely when some more detailed information about the new title is going to be unveiled.
Astrae Oratio was previously developed under the codename Project AT, described as a fantasy subculture RPG centered around the themes of “magic” and “administration.” It is Dynamis One’s latest project announced after the cancellation of the controversial Project KV, which was supposed to be its debut title.
Project KV was initially teased in August 2024, and its first trailer was revealed on September 1 that year. However, it was abruptly cancelled only a week after the trailer’s reveal due to backlash over the title’s thematic and visual resemblance to Nexon Game’s Blue Archive. It did not help that many of Dynamis One personnel and creators involved in Project KV were former Nexon employees and had previously worked on Blue Archive as core team members.
To make things more complicated, following the game’s cancellation, the studio has been under investigation for multiple alleged offenses, including leaking Nexon’s development data, embezzlement, violation of employee regulations, and plotting to compromise the development of Blue Archive.
However, despite the trouble Dynamis One has been facing over the past 2 years, in January 2026 it was announced that NCSoft would invest in the studio and handle both the domestic and global publishing of the upcoming Project AT. It seems that so far, the project has been progressing smoothly, and we will be keeping an eye out for future updates after the grand reveal on May 7.
