Ambidextrous game Left not Right makes you control two characters at the same time while messing with your coordination

Ahead of its August 2026, Left Not Right recently got a demo on Steam.

South Korean indie developer GamjaGames recently released a demo for Left Not Right, a 2D top-down puzzle game coming to Steam in August 2026.

With the tagline “no friends required,” Left Not Right is a singleplayer game where two characters must escape the maze-like levels of an underground research facility. The catch is, you have to control both characters – appropriately named Lefty and Righty – at the same time, with a separate set of controls for both hands.

The game will relentlessly try to throw off your coordination with conveyor belts, electric shocks, switches, and other gimmicks. Additionally, any damage Lefty takes will affect Righty and vice versa. The goal is to successfully escape each level with both girls intact until the timer runs out. At the end of the game, you’ll uncover the secret being Lefty and Righty and why they look so similar.

While Left Not Right is designed as a strictly singleplayer experience, the devs say they can’t stop you from getting a friend to play one side for you, though from the looks of it, that’s likely to take away a good chunk of the fun.

With a free demo out now, Left Not Right is slated to release in August 2026 for PC (Steam).
