Publisher Game Source Entertainment has announced the upcoming horror game Noroi Ayashi: The ∞th Oddity, scheduled to launch in 2027 for PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2.
Noroi Ayashi: The ∞th Oddity is dubbed as a “time-loop horror RTA stealth action adventure game,” with RTA (short for Real Time Attack) being the Japanese gamer slang for speedrunning. The story takes place at U High School, where an old legend about the school’s “seven mysteries” has been passed down for generations. There’s also an urban legend among the students that “if you perform a certain ritual, a cursed doll named Aya will appear and curse the person you hate to death.”
Players take on the role of Seira, a member of the U High School Journalism Club, as she investigates the mystery behind the legend of Cursed Doll Aya. Gameplay unfolds from an isometric perspective, with players exploring the school at night. The seven mysteries appear as supernatural entities within the school, and there are unique procedures to avoid and “seal” each one. You’ll have to thoroughly explore every nook and cranny of the pitch-black school while gathering clues and trying not to die.

On the topic of dying, the game also promises that surviving your first playthrough is virtually impossible. Gameplay revolves around a loop of relentless deaths through which you gradually learn how to progress and avoid unnecessary mistakes.
Noroi Ayashi is being co-developed by Clover Lab, the studio behind #holoReversi and MYRIAD DEATH, and Superniche, developer of Etrange Overlord and the upcoming Demons’ Night Fever. Development is led by horror mangaka Rensuke Oshikiri (Hi Score Girls, Liverleaf, Sayuri) and Disgaea series creator Sohei Niikawa (also known under the penname Roman Kitayama).
Noroi Ayashi: The ∞th Oddity is planned for release on PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2 in 2027.
