Cult of the Lamb’s iconic cult leader blacks out drunk in Japan after missing the last train home, earning unlikely response from crazy mascot Chiitan

After participating in the indie game festival BitSummit Drift, The Lamb from Devolver Digital’s Cult of the Lamb was seen passed out drunk in public after missing the last train home – Japanese salaryman-style.

BitSummit Drift was held in Kyoto, Japan, from July 19 to 21. Devolver Digital’s booth allowed Japanese eventgoers to try out Cult of the Lamb’s Unholy Alliance update for the first time, but it also brought the leader themself. The Lamb could be seen throughout the event, exploring the backrooms and having stare-offs with the Cat from Battle Cats. But it seems the leader partied a bit too hard, as they missed the last train home and had to settle for dozing off in public, beer cans strewn about, and sword haphazardly discarded.

This unexpectedly (but very appropriately) resulted in a response from Japan’s crazy mascot Chiitan, who asked The Lamb if they “would like to join us,” the “us” being oddly unnerving as the attached picture appears to show only Chiitan, blacked out against the curb (and giving some Robbie the Rabbit vibes). Unsurprisingly, the interaction has resulted in fans getting fired up for what would be one of the best mascot crossovers in history.

Cult of the Lamb is available for PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, PS4/PS5 and Xbox One/Xbox Series X❘S. The Unholy Alliance update is scheduled to launch on August 12 for free.
