Imagine owning your own aquarium without all the hassle of cleaning up fish poop and maintaining expensive filters and heating systems. Machorium – Muscle Aquarium Simulator lets you create a beautiful virtual underwater diorama with a twist- you look after tiny, swimming fit dudes instead of fish. Made by Japanese indie dev NEOLAVI and published by indiegamesjapan, Machorium was released on Steam today and is available in 12 languages including English.

In this relaxing sandbox game, you start off with an empty tank. Customize it by adding colored sand, rocks, aquatic plants, scenery and various other decorations. Once you are happy with your initial set up, try adding some swimming trunk-clad muscle men to the tank. The Action-man like gym bros will swim happily so long as you feed them protein so they can keep their muscles big and strong. As they swim, your pet macho guys will earn “macho” points- these can be used to unlock new decor items for your aquarium, so you can keep your mini men in a comfortable and stylish tank.
