現地時間11月23日に、Golden Joystick Awards 2021が発表された。Golden Joystick Awardsは、イギリスで1983年より続く歴史あるゲームアワード。過去12か月に発売されたタイトルなどを対象に、ユーザーらによる投票が実施された。
さまざまな作品がノミネートされていたが、今年で第39回目となるアワードのUltimate Game of the Yearでは、数々の大作を制し『バイオハザード ヴィレッジ』が輝いた。同作はそのほか3部門でアワードに輝いているほか、Studio of the Yearにカプコンが選ばれており、存在感を見せる結果となった。以下、ノミネートおよび結果を記載。アワードの勝利タイトルには星マークをつけている。
