There Is No Next Stop, a psychological horror visual novel set aboard a train that never stops, gets Steam demo

There Is No Next Stop is a dark visual novel in which you encounter four "Guides" while trapped in a boundary of and endless train.

South Korean indie developer HANPAGE released a demo for the psychological horror visual novel There Is No Next Stop on June 3 via Steam. The full game is scheduled to launch in August 2026.

True to its title, the setting of There Is No Next Stop is a train that never stops. The protagonist, a high school senior called Mia, finds herself trapped in a parallel dimension one day after hearing the unusual announcement, “There is no next stop” during her daily commute. She wakes up with no memories, surrounded by grotesque, mindless creatures called Guests out to hunt and devour her.

Playing as Mia, you must navigate the train’s distorted interior – where hand straps have transformed into nooses and advertisements stare back at you – and escape with your life. On the way, you’ll encounter four mysterious beings: Lycoris, Camellia, Magnolia and Rubra.

These captivating characters refer to themselves as “Guides,” urging you to discover the truth behind this incident. Your survival will depend on whether you choose to trust them. The game comes with a multi-ending system that branches in real time based on your choices. There are several bad endings, but only one “true” ending.

There Is No Next Stop handles dark subject matter, with the Steam store page warning players of depictions of depression, domestic abuse, trauma and suicide. The newly launched demo allows you to experience the game’s prologue, offering about 15 minutes of playtime. While the demo does not support skip, save and load functions, the full game will include them. Additionally, the full game is expected to offer 3-5 hours of playtime.

There Is No Next Stop is scheduled to launch in August 2026 for PC (Steam).
