Elin State of the Game is a community letter published monthly by the Elin State of the Game editorial team. Greetings, fellow adventurers! This is the Elin State of the Game editorial team.
We’d like to share Elin-related news that have been sent in from all over Ylva this month as well.
This is the April issue of “Elin State of the Game,” out on Nyan Nyan Day (the 22nd), as always. Amidst the cheerful and boisterous crowds of people enjoying the warm weather, a shadow looms.

Last month, many new races arrived in North Tyris. You might see unfamiliar figures in the streets, fields, and festival grounds.
Meanwhile, it seems that suspicious potions have also begun circulating secretly.

Mommy!
This information comes from an anonymous adventurer. Apparently, a new potion has been developed at a bakery in Mysilia that makes you feel like a baby, body and soul.
We went to investigate, but the adventurer we were supposed to meet there was nowhere to be seen. The only person we found at the bakery was the owner, a madam, comforting a baby.
The bakery is small and unassuming, but we’d like to recommend it as a hidden gem.
New Item: “Party Formation Board”
Good news for adventurers traveling in large groups! With the Party Formation Board, you can now instantly summon pre-registered party members.
You can switch between multiple parties or gather your usual members after solo missions in an instant.
Monster Sighting Warning
This is a warning from the Mysilia Immigration Bureau. Recently, a werewolf, a monster that disguises itself as a human and attacks, has been sighted among the increasing number of beast-human immigrants in North Tyris.
There have also been reports of attackers targeting random, unsuspecting victims and individuals acting erratically and scattering money. Please exercise caution even within town.

Official Illustration Introduction ~ Lumiest Gallery
As is customary every month, we’re featuring illustrations by Elin illustrator NZ. This time, we’re showcasing seven mini-illustrations for Steam achievements that our editorial team has secretly obtained.
The two illustrations on the left are the ones actually used for Willow’s pie. It’s interesting to see the trial and error that went into the appearance and ingredients of the pie that Ashland raves about.

Next up is a piece by Elin composer NINO.
The piece we’re introducing today is the hymn “Horome of Moonshadow.” Please listen carefully, imagining the sad yet beautiful figure of the goddess dancing under the moonlight.
Hi, it’s NINO!
Horome of Moonshadow’s hymn was a song that Horome sang alone under a cherry tree on a moonlit night, to mourn Yufu, in the agony of having killed him, and with the sword that had killed him by her side.
It reached her followers, was sung and passed down, and when everyone had forgotten about Yufu, that song eventually became Horome of Moonshadow’s hymn.
This song is written in a way that you can actually play it on the piano, and sheet music is available. Adventurers confident in their musical skills should definitely give it a try!

A New Romance Adventure Game?!
A romance adventure game featuring the unique characters from Elin, titled “Tulips of True Blue,” is currently under development!
The player takes on the role of Reuter, a banished young man, who encounters charming companions in the fields and deepens his relationships with them!
…Just kidding, that was a complete lie.
This was an April Fool’s joke released on the Elin and Elona Discord servers. The mastermind is a veteran adventurer who has long served as a moderator on the servers.
The video, which looks just like a real game, is still available to watch. Adventurers who haven’t seen it yet might want to take this opportunity to visit the Discord servers.
North Tyris in VR
Worlds themed after Elin are being released one after another for VRChat.
Japanese Elin players also held a beginner tour for adventurers unfamiliar with VRChat.
On the day of the tour, a tour guide dressed as Nerun led a large group of Snow Petits, and it seemed to be a great success.

Q. How come you can’t use panties as gear? You can use panties as musical instruments, you can use panties as throwing weapons, you can use panties as a tourist attraction, but you can’t use panties as clothing??? (by epistemikon)
This is because the moment you equip panties as waist gear, a serious problem arises: “Not equipped = not wearing anything.” Since panties are a rare item, the majority of NPCs generated in Ylva would end up “not wearing anything” in place of panties, which could make the world’s morals and culture a bit too open. However, it might be possible to implement them as head gear instead of waist gear.
Q. When will it be possible to take a photo of the entire home? (by Happyosz, original in Chinese)
Try enabling “Add Long-Range Zoom” in the in-game settings. This will increase the number of zoom-out steps in build mode. I’ve also added even more zoom-out steps. The next stable version should allow you to take screenshots of the entire home.

Welcome to Ylva! We welcome all new adventurers (little sisters)!
Personally, I recommend welcoming various pets and residents and playing however you like, without worrying about efficiency. Since the knowledge you gain on your adventures will be useful in your next playthrough, I think it’s fun to really explore and learn things as you go.
Q. will you be adding more BGM into the game..? hearing new songs on each new places we visited will be a good memories for us to remember the moment! :D) (by OneZ)
Q. I always enjoy your content! I believe there were plans to implement a BGM replacement function. Could you tell us when that is scheduled to be implemented? (by Kokowa wanwanno noroi, original in Japanese)
I plan to add more background music in the future. I’m also considering remaking or remastering the background music for existing maps.
Good background music really boosts development motivation. The wedding venue map, which was recently added, had such great background music that I was able to create it even better than originally planned.
Regarding the background music replacement function, there are no plans to implement it in the main game for the time being. However, we are implementing frequently requested features as they come in, so I will consider it if I receive enough feedback.
Q. I have a question about the monster “2B.” Just hearing the name, I thought 2B might be based on a certain company’s sexy android, but the graphic design seems closer to the old “3get Mani.” Which is the actual source? (by rurunuko, original in Japanese)
…What exactly is this “certain company’s android” you’re referring to??? Unfortunately, I have absolutely no idea…!
Regarding this monster, I simply asked the artist to “create a clunky machine.” While thinking of a name, the phrase “machine lifeform” somehow came to mind, and for a moment, the thought crossed my mind that maybe Elin could have some sexy android illustrations or cosplay… but that’s absolutely not true, ignore what I said…!

Hello everyone, this is noa.
Thank you so much for all your submissions to the “Adventurer Q&A Box”! We’ll try to answer the questions we couldn’t get to this time in future issues.
Now, with the recent stable release, “Hey, it’s mommy!” was implemented in Elin as well. It was a feature we introduced on a whim this spring, but as expected, it required a lot of additional features and adjustments, which took some time!
From the next update onwards, we plan to focus on side quests and home quests, trying to stay on track as much as possible. Please look forward to the next issue!
