Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, developed by the creators of Blasphemous, announced for Summer 2025

Publisher Dotemu announced Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound on December 13. The upcoming title is scheduled to be released in Summer 2025 for the PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, PS5/PS4 and Xbox Series X|S/Xbox One. Developing the new entry to Koei Tecmo’s Ninja Gaiden series is The Game Kitchen, the studio behind Blasphemous.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is a 2D side-scrolling action-adventure game that combines the feel and gameplay of old-school Ninja Gaiden titles with the depth and intensity of modern 3D titles.

In Ragebound’s announcement trailer, you can see some fast-paced 2D action unfolding, with detailed pixel art visuals reminiscent of Blasphemous. The game seems to be inheriting the difficulty level of past games, which is no doubt good news for Ninja Gaiden fans.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is scheduled to launch in Summer 2025 for the PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch, PS5/PS4 and Xbox Series X|S/Xbox One.
