Japanese game studio enish announced on September 18 that its 2023 mobile game “Laid-Back Camp All-In-One!!” will be getting a full overhaul and relaunch as Laid-Back Camp All-In-One!! Chill Time. Unlike the original, which is a mobile camping simulation and gacha game based on the hit camping anime, Chill Time is a productivity companion title similar to games like Chill with You: Lo-Fi Story.
The iOS, Android, and DMM Games versions of Chill Time will still be free-to-play with in-app purchases, with players of the original only needing to update the app to play the rebuilt version. Your player name, gear, cooking items, costumes, and support cards (which will be renamed “Stills”) carry over to Chill Time. Continuing to log in to the original game from September 18 to October 21 will award you 10 free gacha pulls every day.
The Steam version, on the other hand, will launch in Early Access as a one-time purchase title, with the devs planning to add extra features and make improvements based on user feedback.
After service ends for the original title on October 21 at 2 AM UTC, both the mobile relaunch and Steam Early Access version of Chill Time will release the next day on October 22 at 2 AM UTC. Sales of in-game currency for Laid-Back Camp All-in–One!! have been suspended as of September 18. Refunds for unused currency are also planned, with details set to be announced at a later date.
Laid-Back Camp All-in-One!! Chill Time carries over assets from the original mobile game. Alongside chibi-sized versions of characters like Nadeshiko Kagamihara, Rin Shima, and Chiaki Ogaki (all of whom are voiced by their Japanese voice actresses), you focus on work or studies while they camp on-screen.
An in-game Pomodoro timer tracks your work sessions and breaks, which becomes a record of your time spent with the girls. You also have access to a calendar and to-do list to keep track of your tasks, as well as several pieces of background music and ambient sounds to set your working mood.
Unique to Chill Time is the ability to create your own campsite. In addition to choosing the background and placing tents, items, and food, you can also outfit Nadeshiko, Rin, and the others in over 1,000 types of outfits and gear. Once you’ve set the scene, the camera moves to different spots around the campsite every few seconds, allowing you to see its inhabitants interact with the things you placed (the scenery will continue to move even if you pause your work). Chill Time also has an online component that allows up to five people to gather at the same campsite, in case you start feeling lonely.
Laid-Back Camp All-in-One!! Chill Time is set to release on iOS, Android, DMM Games, and Windows (Steam) on October 22.
