Productivity companion game fans will be happy to know that Nestopi, the indie developer and publisher behind last year’s Chill with You: Lo-Fi Story, is releasing a new standalone title in the series. Titled Chill with You: Shioi’s Sparkling Scenes, this productivity game x visual novel swaps the meek Satone with the more outgoing Shioi.
Unlike Satone, who was confined to her room, Shioi goes about her day like a normal student. She could be studying in the library if your work/study session takes place during the day, and chilling in her room at night (the devs also hint at “unexpected situations” where you can connect with her). Thanks to her smartphone, Shioi can accompany you wherever she is.
Though Shioi isn’t as studious as Satone, she is better at getting closer to you emotionally. She might move closer to you during your breaks and say something that catches you off guard. As with Lo-Fi Story, your relationship with Shioi deepens as you complete your sessions, unlocking more conversations and events.
Chill with You: Shioi’s Sparkling Scenes has several tools to help you keep track of your sessions, including a Pomodoro Timer, to-do list, habit tracker, journal, notes, and work/study statistics. You can also select from several original Lo-Fi tracks and ambient sounds that can be combined to create a preferred soundtrack. Once the timer starts, Shioi will study alongside you as you complete your tasks.
Chill with You: Shioi’s Sparkling Scenes is set to release in 2026 for Windows and macOS (Steam).
