Japanese publisher Tohakusha announced that their first original title Red Chat Ritual – TSUMIMI TIME has reached 10,000 Wishlists in just three days following the launch of the game’s Steam store page on April 9. In an X post thanking fans and future players for helping them reach the big milestone, the publishers also revealed that they will soon unveil more gameplay footage, including details on how “stream intervention,” investigation and deduction portions of the game will actually look like.
Additionally, the developers recently announced that they are actively planning English support for the game. According to the official Steam store page, besides Japanese and English, the game will also be available in Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
Red Chat Ritual – TSUMIMI TIME is a psychological horror mystery adventure in which you, the viewer of a struggling idol livestreamer Tsummimi, set out to investigate the mysterious disappearance of her groupmate Mashiro. During the day, you will surf the internet looking for clues, and at night, you’ll get to watch Tsumimi’s livestreams and directly interact with her using Mega Chats (paid donation messages similar to YouTube’s Super Chats). You will need to pay close attention to how Tsumimi reacts to your comments and prompts, as that might be a big hint to the mystery behind the incident. Depending on the outcomes of your investigation and the choices you make, the game will branch into multiple different endings, with a total playtime of about 4 to 5 hours.
Recently, the title has gained a lot of momentum on social media thanks to its theme song, Oshi Oshi Oshi Oshi Oshi Oshi Oshi Oshi Kane Kane Kane Kane Kane Kane Kane Kane, written and composed by songwriter and Vocaloid veteran Kikuo, with vocals by VTuber Kagura Mea. The music video currently sits at over 200,000 views.
Red Chat Ritual – TSUMIMI TIME is coming soon for PC (Steam).
