After being teased at last year’s EVO 2024, Venom will finally have his Guilty Gear Strive reveal trailer shown at Ark World Tour Finals 2024. The tournament will take place from March 21-23, 2025 at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles, California, with Venom’s trailer being broadcast to attendees and viewers on the final day.
As the second playable character of the game’s fourth season pass, Venom was initially supposed to release in Early 2025 shortly after Queen Dizzy arrived in October 2024. To provide the best game experience possible with the pool cue-wielding assassin, Arc System Works decided to postpone Venom’s release to the end of March 2025.
While Venom’s delay meant that players needed to wait almost 5 months for a new playable Guilty Gear Strive character, the updated roadmap reveals they won’t have to wait as long for newcomer Unika. Considering the Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers anime is set to air in April 2025, there may be a possibility that Unika will enter Guilty Gear Strive at around the same time to coincide with the show’s release.
Guilty Gear Strive is currently available on PS4/PS5, PC (Windows), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and arcades.
