CAPTIVE LOVE♡MELTY HOLIC is an upcoming 2D escape suspense game that shows how life with obsessive yandere girls might not be all it’s cracked up to be. As popular underground idol Ruito Inukubo, you find yourself being kidnapped by your fans. Now trapped in an abandoned building, you must brave a series of traps, puzzles, and your crazed fanbase as you attempt to escape.
Gameplay takes on a side-scrolling format with point-and-click exploration. You control Ruito while navigating dangerous traps set throughout the locked-off complex, hiding from the fangirls, and gathering items needed to make your escape.
Three of Ruito’s obsessive fans have been detailed by the game’s official X account. Himeno is described as an “enigmatic café girl” who sees Ruito as her prince. Alice is a former-idol-turned-influencer. Lastly, Luna is a college student who serves as Ruito’s longest-running super fan. Kumai, the stoic manager of the idol group HAPPY☆CRAPPERS (which Ruito is a part of), also plays a part in the game’s story.
Developed and published by Japanese indie developer SERIALGAMES, CAPTIVE LOVE♡MELTY HOLIC features cute pixel art, multiple endings, and roughly 5-10 hours of playtime.
CAPTIVE LOVE♡MELTY HOLIC is set to release for Windows (Steam) in 2027.
