DLsite parent company to launch new service for playing PC titles on smartphones, using per-title purchases instead of subscription model

viviON has announced the cloud gaming service viviON Games, scheduled to launch sometime in 2026.

viviON, the parent company of popular Japanese digital game, doujinshi and ASMR platform DLsite, has announced the new cloud gaming service viviON Games. Scheduled to launch sometime in 2026, it will allow users to play PC games on their smartphones using the OOParts Engine, which viviON subsidiary EISYS acquired last year.

viviON Games leverages the OOParts cloud gaming engine to launch games directly on your phone’s browser using dedicated servers. This removes any download or setup requirements, making the process relatively quick easy for those who want to give the service a shot.

The initiative was launched with the goal of making PC gaming more accessible. Since gaming for extended periods can be difficult when you have worldly responsibilities to tend to, the service is intended to offer a way for people to hop on their favorite games during brief moments of downtime. Since the system was built with PC games in mind, developers will not need to do any porting work to bring their titles to viviON Games

Though the company has previously released apps like DL Play Box and its revamped version DLSite GamePlay, which allowed users to play indie games hosted on DLsite via mobile devices, it seems likely that the new viviON Games will offer a different catalogue of games.

While the launch lineup is still in the works, viviON Games will adopt a one-time purchase model for each game rather than a subscription-based one. According to viviON, this will allow them to “generate revenue based on sales volume while preserving each game’s value.” Citing these advantages, they hope that game companies and developers will use viviON Games to reach more players with their works.

viviON Games is scheduled to be exhibited at this year’s BitSummit PUNCH indie game festival in Kyoto from May 22 to 24. Attendees will be able to play seven titles, namely Yomawari: Lost in the Dark, Seifuku Kanojo, KemonoMix Re, One Way Heroics Plus, Terminus Historia, Return to Shironagasu Island, and The Clingy Ghost (these games may differ from the official launch lineup). viviON will also offer consultations on game sales and distribution for game companies and developers at the event.
