Dark Alice in Wonderland-esque roguelite CRYMELIGHT misses Steam launch date due to delay in review process. Out on PS5 and Switch 2
CRYMELIGHT was originally scheduled to launch on Steam on November 5. The PS5 and Switch 2 versions of the game have been released as planned.

Japanese game developer FuRyu has announced that the Steam release of its dark fantasy action roguelite game CRYMELIGHT will be temporarily postponed due to a delay in the pre-launch review process. The title was scheduled to launch earlier today on the platform.
The PlayStation5 and Nintendo Switch 2 versions of the game have been released as planned.
According to a post on CRYMELIGHT’s official X account, FuRyu applied for a pre-launch review to Steam approximately one month before the scheduled release date and had been addressing the issues raised by the platform since then. However, it’s not yet known when the review process will be completed.
On November 4, Valve announced that Steam has been seeing a significant increase in submissions for store page and build review in recent months, causing many developers to wait for review build updates longer than expected. While a reason for CRYMELIGHT’s delay wasn’t explicitly stated, FuRyu suggests that Steam might be late with the pre-release reviews due to the recent spike in submissions.
On the other hand, the official Steam demo, which was originally scheduled to be removed from the platform on November 5, will be extended until the game releases.
CRYMELIGHT’s developers apologized to fans for the inconvenience, and explained that they are currently doing their best to complete the review process and release the game as quickly as possible.
CRYMELIGHT is out now for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. The PC (Steam) release is TBD.
