Following Blue Archive’s November 19 update, the game’s iOS version now displays a concerned message whenever you long-press the app icon on your iPhone or iPad. This message seems to only pop up on the Japanese version, and if your mobile device is updated to iOS 26.

Long-pressing an app icon on an iPhone or iPad opens up several quick actions, the most common of which allow you to move or delete the associated software. While Android apps feature similar quick actions, Blue Archive’s Android version currently does not include the witty message.
When the icon of the Japanese iOS version of Blue Archive is held, a message pops up, reading “Sensei, no! You’re just going to move the icon, right?” expressing concern about the player potentially deleting the game. Given the tone of the message, fans surmise that the speaker is Arona, the game’s mascot and your trusty companion (not to be confused with Sunaookami Shiroko, whose face is featured on the app icon).

Arona’s presence can be felt throughout the entirety of Blue Archive, as she appears in several menus and occasionally chimes in while you play. This new message appears to be Nexon and publisher Yostar’s way of extending Arona’s character beyond the confines of the game and making players think twice before deleting the application – or at least feel an extra pang of guilt as they do it.
Blue Archive is available for Android, iOS, and Windows (Steam).
