During a special FamitsuTUBE livestream held on August 18, SpiralAI announced that the release of RyzaChat: AI Your Midsummer Dream Story with AI Ryza (unofficial translation) would be postponed. According to CEO Yuichi Sasaki, the delay was made to allow the studio more time to “further strengthen its server infrastructure,” following an unexpectedly high number of pre-registrations after the game’s announcement earlier this month.
RyzaChat: AI is an upcoming AI Chat RPG co-developed alongside Koei Tecmo studio Gust. The game’s main draw is its RPG mode, which has you conversing with Reisalin “Ryza” Stout to progress through a free-scenario-style story. After completing a short tutorial on Kurken Island, the full world map unlocks, giving you several locations to visit and personalized quests to complete based on your talks with Ryza, including activities like battles, Synthesis, and resource gathering. There is also a Chat mode available, which lets you engage in casual one-on-one conversations.

Aside from the release date delay, the livestream also revealed more information about the game. In terms of monetization, RyzaChat: AI adopts a subscription-based model that uses “conversation tokens” and offers multiple tiers.
RyzaChat: AI was originally set to release on August 18, the same day as the livestream. While there was no mention of a new release date, Sasaki humbly asked fans to be patient for “just a little longer.”
RyzaChat: AI Your Midsummer Dream Story with AI Ryza is being developed for iOS and Android.
