Nintendo has announced that Banjo-Kazooie is coming to Nintendo Switch for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members on January 20.

Banjo-Kazooie is a 3D action game initially released for the Nintendo 64 in 1998 that went on to become a franchise beloved by fans. Players control a Honey Bear named Banjo and a Breegull named Kazooie on an adventure filled with platforming challenges and puzzles in an endearing world. Utilize the pair’s various abilities to overcome obstacles and save Banjo’s sister from Gruntilda the witch. The game was developed by Rare and inspired by Super Mario 64.

Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack is a new membership plan that started last October where members can play select Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis titles on Nintendo Switch, such as Super Mario 64 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The plan also includes all the perks available with the regular Nintendo Switch Online plan.

The original Paper Mario was added to the lineup in December, and now Banjo-Kazooie is joining as well. Since you can save your data at any time with the Nintendo Switch Online’s save feature, it’ll be much easier to play through the game this time around. Nintendo’s news post in Japan includes magazine pages from an issue of “The 64DREAM,” the predecessor to the monthly video game magazine Nintendo DREAM, that features a Banjo-Kazooie walkthrough.

Other Nintendo 64 titles, including Pokémon Snap, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, are scheduled to be added in the future.
