来月12月10日に開催されるゲームの祭典「The Game Awards 2021」の部門別ノミネート作品が発表された。最多ノミネート作品はArkane Studiosの『Deathloop』。ゲーム・オブ・ザ・イヤーを含む8部門（計9ノミネート）で候補に挙がった。そのほかのGOTY候補は『It Takes Two』『ラチェット&クランク パラレル・トラブル』『It Takes Two』といった話題作がノミネートされている。
