During The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct, Nintendo announced that the upcoming live-action film based on the series will officially be titled The Legend of Zelda. Scheduled to premiere worldwide on April 30 exclusively in theaters, the film now has an official logo.
Series creator Shigeru Miyamoto commented that fans will know why the movie comes with no subtitle once they see the film. He didn’t reveal much about the story, but noted that it brings together all the worldbuilding and concepts built throughout the series’ history. He also teased that the Triforce may play an important role.
He called it an artistic work worthy of the series, created with direct involvement of the development team at Nintendo and Miyamoto himself.
The Legend of Zelda is scheduled to premiere worldwide on April 30, 2027.
