Deltarune fans eagerly awaiting the release of Chapter 3 and 4 will be happy to know that Toby Fox is consistently updating a Bluesky thread with posts on the game’s development. In the latest post, Fox reveals that there is still a lot of work to do on bug testing for the console versions:
Assuming Deltarune Chapter 3 and 4 are on the same consoles as Chapter 1 & 2, console testing is already underway for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. PlayStation 5 testing has yet to begin; neither has the work needed to import save data from the demo version of Deltarune (that is to say Deltarune Chapter 1 & 2) to the main game on consoles. According to Fox, the technology to do the latter was just received by the development team.
These development updates aren’t the only way Toby Fox is hyping Deltarune Chapter 3 and 4. Not only has he confirmed that the two chapters will be released simultaneously in 2025, but he has also namedropped a character who fans think will serve as the antagonist for the upcoming story.
Deltarune Chapter 3 and 4 are set to be released sometime in 2025.
