This lofi beats app gives you a chill way to tackle your To-do list
Want to track and improve your productivity with a relaxed, lofi beats vibe? Then this app might work for you. On March 13, developer Catos Game announced their relaxed task management app Chill Pulse. Available on PC (Steam), the app is scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2024.
Chill Pulse is designed to help increase users’ productivity when studying or working. Upon opening the app, you will be met with a charming scene of an anime-style girl studying at a desk. You can switch through various on-screen study environments, from a warm retro-style to a cool, cyberpunk style room, depending on your preference. The character’s clothing and window scenery will also change accordingly. With a cat curled up beside her, the scene strongly resembles the images used in the popular YouTube user Lofi Girl’s relaxing hip hop beats videos, giving off a chilled out and comfortable vibe.
The app features a music player, which allows you to play a curated selection of lo-fi music and ambient sounds. The combination of visuals and music is supposed to help you to relax and focus. Chill Pulse also has customizable productivity tools that allow you to make To-Do lists and break down your tasks into manageable intervals, setting times in which to complete them using the Pomodoro technique. The app gives you the satisfaction of ticking off each task as you complete it.
This is not the only way that Chill Pulse rewards you though. As you complete your work or study goals, you will be able to unlock new environments, soundtracks and features. The app also appears to foster a sense of working together. As you complete your own tasks, you will be able to check up on what the girl is doing. It seems like you will be able to search for her diary entries in the scenic backgrounds. Apparently, you will also be able to unlock fun activities to do in-between your tasks, such as a mini-game where you can try to craft the perfect cup of coffee for the hardworking girl.
There are a number of similar cozy, relaxing apps on Steam, such as Spirit City: Lofi Sessions, On Track and Chill Corner, that are designed to help you focus and be productive. Chill Pulse is the latest app in this trend, although all of them have slightly different atmospheres and functions that will appeal to different people.
Chill Pulse is scheduled to be released on PC (Steam) in Q1 of 2024.
