During its financial briefing for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, game publisher Marvelous mentioned the possibility of Honey ∞ Parade Games entering the console game market. A subsidiary of Marvelous, Honey Parade Games is a development studio specializing in bishojo games, including the popular Senran Kagura franchise.
Since around 2020, the studio’s output has primarily consisted of free-to-play titles like Dolphin Wave and the now defunct Shinobi Master Senran Kagura: New Link. Additionally, the company is scheduled to release Shinovi Nexus: Senran Kagura – another live-service entry in the Senran Kagura series – within 2026 domestically.
While fans of the Honey Parade brand have been missing its full-priced games, it seems the studio could be coming back to console releases in the future. While presenting Marvelous’s future policy regarding its subsidiaries, president and CEO Shinichi Terui mentioned that going forward, the company is considering a focus not only on online games, but entry into the consumer game business (referring to full-priced console/PC games).
On a related note, the studio appears to be faring well financially, with Terui mentioning stable performance from Dolphin Wave and licensing royalties from Shinobi Master Senran Kagura: New Link as drivers of revenue.
Honey ∞ Parade Games’s latest title, Shinovi Nexus: Senran Kagura, is set to launch in 2026 in Japan for iOS, Android and PC (via DMM Games).
