Russian Roulette-based survival game where you have to outdrink an obsessive demon girl coming to Steam in 2026

Drunken Goddess Reflux, directed and written by Fuyuki Hayashi, is coming to Steam in 2026

Contrary to its title, Drunken Goddess Reflux by Japanese studio Alliance Arts and director Fuyuki Hayashi (aka WHO YOU) does not feature a female deity, but rather the demon of alcohol known as Fam Sour. Set in Hell’s very own Pandemonium bar, you challenge Fam in a Russian Roulette drinking game in hopes she’ll throw up her soul before you do.

You have your work cut out for you, however. Not only is Fam the realm’s resident alcoholic, but she is also obsessed with you – going so far as to promise to make you immortal with the liquor of Hell if you lose the drinking game.

Gameplay revolves around selecting an alcoholic beverage from an array of similar-looking drinks, whereupon Fam chooses from the remaining selection. As the drinks contain different proofs, the one who fills up on the stronger spirits after several rounds is well on their way to losing.

Where Drunken Goddess Reflux differs from standard Russian Roulette drinking games is in how it handles the later rounds. As you and Fam get more intoxicated, you can bend or even break the rules by incorporating unconventional techniques. Stabbing your own hand with an ice pick, for example, can sober you up, curing three points of intoxication. You can also make use of rule changes, such as adding a more potent drink known as Spiritum, to liven up the experience.

Between drinking games, you can explore the 3D environment of Pandemonium bar to uncover hidden secrets, engage in conversations with other characters, and make decisions that shape the outcome of your playthrough. With seven possible endings, Drunken Goddess Reflux will have you drinking not just to save your soul, but to learn everything about the hellish world you inhabit.

Drunken Goddess Reflux is set to release in 2026 for Windows (Steam).
