Romeo Is a Dead Man gets a photo mode and Hotline Miami collaboration costumes in first major update

Grasshopper Manufacture has announced the first big update for Romeo Is a Dead Man, out now on Steam.

Grasshopper Manufacture has announced the first big update for its 2026 sci-fi action game Romeo Is a Dead Man, and quite appropriately, it’s a collaboration with 2012 cult-classic Hotline Miami, a game adored by Suda51. The update is now live on Steam, with PS5 and Xbox releases also planned down the line.

The biggest new additions to Romeo Is a Dead Man are a costume change feature and photo mode, as well as two Hotline Miami-themed costumes. Players will be able to dress up like Jacket and the Biker, with other customizations also available.

To coincide with the update, the game is now 20% off on Steam, with a Hotline Miami bundle also available at 10% off. Grasshopper Manufacture assures console gamers they’ll get the exact same content and discounts in due time.

Romeo is a Dead Man’s new costume change feature can be unlocked from Romeo’s room on the Space-Time Ship after clearing the game. As for the photo mode, you can access it directly from the game’s pause menu to take HQ screenshots of gameplay. The feature grants control to adjust the camera, tweak color correction, manipulate depth of field, and apply custom frame art.

Romeo Is a Dead Man is available for PC (Steam), PS5 and Xbox Series X❘S. The Steam version is now 20% off.
