According to reports from Korean media outlet Inven, VALOFE, the current developer and publisher of the free-to-play strategy RPG Last Origin, has commenced development of a sequel titled Last Origin 2.
Last Origin is a fanservice-heavy, post-apocalyptic turn-based RPG first released in 2019 in Korea and 2020 in Japan, with a global release slated for 2026. Players take on the role of a human Commander leading a battalion of powerful and beautiful female androids called Bioroids. Their mission is to protect the Earth from hostile machines known as Metal Parasites – who assimilate technology and have wiped out most of humanity – and to repopulate the planet following their defeat.

The newly announced Last Origin 2 is set to expand the setting of the previous title from Earth to space, on top of deepening the story, improving character designs, and expanding the scale of game content.
The project is also important for VOLFE, who intends to transform the Last Origin IP into a multi-project franchise. CEO Jae-myung Shin said, “Last Origin 2 is the company’s first project to begin new development in earnest and is a title with great internal symbolism (…) By pooling accumulated IP competitiveness and development know-how, we will foster it as core content that will drive mid- to long-term growth.”
The timing of the announcement coincides with a massive global push for the franchise. VALOFE recently launched an official global website and opened pre-registrations for Last Origin R+, an international version of the original Last Origin. The game is set to release in North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia, with English, German, and French localization, as well as region-specific skins designed for Western audiences. While the game will be censored on mainstream platforms, the publishers have confirmed that they plan to provide an uncensored version through VFUN.

Pre-registrations for Last Origin are open until May 21. The game is set to launch for Android, iOS, and PC. A sequel, Last Origin 2, is currently in development.
