Peepee and Poopie prison break party game Pritto Prisoner is 90% off as massive content update drops

Pritto Prisoner will be 90% until June 8. The game has received its biggest content update to date.

In celebration of its third anniversary, Japanese developer and publisher PinCool is holding a sale for its debut title, Pritto Prisoner. In addition to the game being 90% off until June 8, the devs are releasing a massive 2.0 update, which adds three new stages, three new playable animals, two new robot parts, and several special items and random events.

Headed by former Dragon Quest series producer Ryutaro Ichimura, Pritto Prisoner is a 4v2 asymmetric multiplayer “prisoner vs guards” party game. Players must either escape Prison Island as an animal inmate, or capture the felons as a robot security guard.

The core gameplay loop involves using pee and poop to your advantage, though it’s all much cuter than it sounds.

Four animal inmates roam the game field in search of food, which can be eaten and turned to poop. They can then use said poop to activate the prison’s mechanisms, lay traps for the robots, and fill up the prison’s toilets. Only when all of the level’s toilets are clogged does the exit gate open, providing them with an escape route.

Animals can also accumulate pee by drinking from water sources, which can then be used to destroy surveillance cameras and stun and mark the robots for fellow teammates.

Pritto Prisoner offers different animal classes to choose from, each with their own skills and traits. From a lion samurai that can cut through swaths of robots, to a scientist pig who uses chemicals to create a blinding smokescreen, there’s bound to be an animal that fits your playstyle.

Unlike the animals, which have predetermined classes with accompanying skills, robots are created before a match by mixing and matching different parts with unique abilities and effects. Giving your robot a Stun Gun, for example, will allow you to shock close-range escapees. Likewise, using lightweight Wheels instead of Tank Treads trades your robot’s pee resistance for more speed. Robots can also level up mid-game by collecting Poopie dropped by the animals.

When an animal is captured, it is sent to the Nap Room, and a timer counts down until it can rejoin the escape attempt. The two robots win if they manage to send all four animals to the Nap Room simultaneously. Alternatively, the animals win if they manage to escape.

Pritto Prisoner’s 2.0 update adds three new animal characters: Captain Necky, Ninja Toramaru, and Madam Grandma – each with their own unique skills and traits that set them apart from the previous classes. Two new robot parts have also been introduced: Punch, which specializes in close-range rush attacks but can also be used to hit long-range targets by charging the attack input, and Hover, which lets you fly over water and against conveyor belt-riddled floors.

Three uniquely themed levels add a breath of fresh air to the game. The Beach level is set on a tropical resort and features a complex network of winding waterways. The Sushi Bar level has animals catching and eating food that comes down conveyor lanes. Lastly, the Solitary Cell level is a horror-themed stage where every cell holds a nightmarish sight. Each level has its own hidden rooms, which players are encouraged to discover and explore. Several special items and random events have also been included to add more variety and randomness.

With enhanced cutscene animations and background updates, daily challenges for in-game currency, and the option for Nintendo Switch 2 players to display their faces on their characters and the poo they leave behind, Pritto Prisoner has undergone its biggest content expansion to date.

Pritto Prisoner is available for Windows and macOS (Steam), as well as Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. A free demo is also available on Steam.
