Fans of mecha can treat themselves to a special model kit of the popular “White Griffon” from the Patlabor series when they pre-order the limited edition physical copy of Mobile Police Patlabor: The Case Files for the PS5.
The Special Edition can only be purchased through the official Good Smile Company Online Shop and is available for preorder. Fans are encouraged to reserve their copy early, as the pre-orders may close before launch due to limited availability.
The model kit is a 1/60 scale and stands approximately 5.1 inches. It can be arranged in a variety of poses as each joint is movable, and includes the iconic wings.
The Patlabor series follows the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department as they investigate and battle other mechs, which are named Labors. The name Patlabor is a portmanteau of “patrol” and “labor,” referencing the special division created to respond to Labor-related crime, the Special Vehicles Section 2 Patrol Labor Unit.
Mobile Police Patlabor: The Case Files, the latest game adaptation, is set for release for PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam) in Summer 2026.
