Omori manga’s first volume to get a physical release

Hot on the heels of the Omori manga’s digital release last June, publishing company Kodansha will release physical editions starting November 21 of this year. The manga is an adaptation of the Omori video game by Japanese indie studio Omocat and follows the adventures of Sunny – a teenage Japanese hikikomori (sort of like a recluse) – and his dream world alter-ego Omori.

Sadly, the November run of the physical manga is only in Japanese. However, seeing as Kodansha offers a digital English translated version of Omori on their K Manga US website, it is likely that an English print version could be released sometime in the future. With so many people clamoring for translations and physical releases of manga in English, Italian, and other languages, the demand is certainly there.

With art by Konoito Nui, the digital version of the Omori manga is currently on its fourth chapter. It has yet to reach some of the diverging plot points of the video game, so it will be interesting to see which choices and endings will be followed.

Omori is available for the PC (Steam), Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
