New Like a Dragon game in the works, but it’s not Kiwami 3

Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio announced on April 1 that they will be holding casting auditions for a new entry to the Like a Dragon series. The news was revealed in a stream on the Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio TV official YouTube Channel.

Exact roles and details about the auditions have yet to be revealed, but Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio director Masayoshi Yokoyama said that they will be similar to the live-action hostess auditions held for Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name in that members of the general public will also be eligible to audition.

Yokoyama mentioned that the auditions this time around are not related to Kiwami 3, but that the studio is considering doing Kiwami 3 at some point too. More information will be revealed through subsequent announcements.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio released the massive Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth on January 25, which was preceded by Like a Dragon Gaiden in November 2023.
