Japanese publisher Good Smile Company will be introducing a new way to connect with your favourite cat girls in their free-to-play gacha Nekopara Sekai Connect (“NekoConne”), which is being jointly developed with NEKO WORKS.
The new feature, dubbed “CommMode,” will allow you to interact and spend time with the catgirl of your choice. In this mode, you will be able to have more meaningful interactions with the girls, get up close and personal, and even directly pet their heads through the screen.
For those of you unfamiliar with the title, Nekopara Sekai Connect is a spin-off of the original Nekopara visual novel series. However, instead of a purely narrative-driven experience, it focuses more on sandbox-style cafe management gameplay and a character-collecting gacha system.
Recently, the developers also announced that they would be adding a new catgirl to their character roster. Bavarois, a new student from Gertrude Cat Academy and a five-star character, will be featured in a special Pickup Gacha with an increased drop rate. The gacha banner will launch after the server maintenance scheduled for June 5, 2026 and will run until June 22, 2026 at 15:00 JST.
To celebrate the release of the new character, Good Smile Company is also hosting the special event “The 2nd Nyan-on ♪ ~Bride of the Garden~,” where players can earn exclusive event rewards and gacha tickets. An event pass and a limited time login campaign will be launching alongside the event. Additionally, the rhythm game mode will also debut a music video for the song ‘The Bouquet I Longed For,.’ which the new character Bavarois will also be starring in.
Nekopara Sekai Connect is available on iOS and Google Play, with a PC (Steam) version planned for release in 2026.
